I am having a problem with TABLETALK. I can run FOCUS interactively
with no problem to read and manipulate data. However, when I execute
TABLETALK it sees the database ok and the fields within the database,
but when I choose to select the "Run this request?" option after
selecting the data (even as simple as 1 field to print) I get an error.
ERROR WRITING FILE: TABLTALK
I understand that TABLETALK packages up the user's selection criteria
and builds a temporary fex called TABLTALK.FEX. This is the file that
TABLTALK is trying to create when it errors. There is no (FOC#) associated
with this error to do a (? #) for an explanation of the error.
Has anyone experienced this problem and can anyone suggest what the
fix might be?
Thanks for any suggestions.

TableTalk write the TABLTALK.FEX to the user's default directory when entering FOCUS. Therefore the reasons for this error might be : a) user has set default to directory where he does not have priv to create a file b) user has insufficient disk quota on that disk Jean-Claude | |||||
