I hope somebody has already got the answer for this one ... After we have upgraded our FOCUS to V6.1 we get the following behaviour which is apparently different to the previous versions . When issuing the following command : ON TABLE HOLD AS A FORMAT DIF The hold file now caontaing null characters in place where it used to have blank characters. I assume it's some global SET command which has a different default value, can anybody help me on that ? Thanks, Ofer.

One thing people complain often, was the fact they were unable to embedded control character within their reports. One of the latest FOCUS release provides as a new feature the fact that FOCUS will not replace non-printable character by blanks. I think this was introduce in 6.1 (but I'm not 100% sure) Is this specific to DIF or do you get the same result with HOLD FORMAT DOC ? Unfortunately as far as I remember there are no SET command to prevent this. Jean-Claude. | |||||
