After we upgraded to Focus 6.1 the user can chose between around 50 different files in Table-talk. This makes the system quite heavy to work with. The FOCUS directory has grown from 112 files in version 5.3 to 364 in version 6.1. The number of .MAS files have grown from 12 in version 5.3 to 34 in version 6.1. These .MAS files are some of the extra files I find in Tabletalk, but in addition to them I get some files that I don't know where are located. I'm of course not allowed to access all these files. If I chose the files on the FOCUS directory I get the message <FOC1006) DDNAME IS NOT ALLOCATED. For the other files I get the message: (FOC1451) FILEDEF MISSING FOR EXTERNAL FILE. Is this an (unwanted) new feature with 6.1 or have we one anything wrong during the installation? Regards, Mari Vestre, IS Norway

If any of these master names are in the IBI$FOCUS area where your focus.exe is located, the would should up in TABLETALK there and truly may not have DDNAME allocated. I would move them some where else. LisaC |
