I'm new to Focus and am having a difficult time with an error message that occurs when I try to access a database I created. The first time I access the data file everything is fine. After that I get the following error message: "(FOC054) FILE IS PROTECTED BY DIFFERENT DATA ADMINISTRATOR: FILENAME" Does this look familiar to anyone? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Regards, Ken

(FOC054) "The MASTER file does not contain the proper DBA password for the data file mentioned. The RESTRICT command sequence may need to be used to change DBA passwords. This error will also occur when a file which is not a FOCUS database is referenced as though it were." This is right out of the FOCUS manual. Hope you're using Rdb and not a Focus database. Better for DEC if you do. Good luck. NLD |
