Does anyone know if FOCUS provides a cross-database JOIN for Rdb databases (even though Rdb itself doesn't provide this cabability)? Thanks for any input. Note: question pertains to two Rdb databases, not relations within a database.

As long as what you are joining in both databases are of the same format and data consistency. You may have to contact the other remote database site for permission/access to the database for read only purposes. Use AUTORDB.FEX to generate masters for the tables you wish to use in the other database and as long as you have some type of logical pointing to the other database that the .ACX's use, you should be okay. Let me know if you have any questions. I'd be glad to help. LisaC |
