417.0. "Transfer FOCUS Problem" by MLNADG::NAVA (Cinzia) Thu May 16 1991 05:19
Hi,
I have a problem in CH (Switcherland) during the run of a procedure
DCL that submit 7 Focus Procedures.
We have tried to run it several times and it always stop in the same
step.
It should produce 7 reports and at the third one it stop without error
messages. No error into the log file it produces.
The batch in the queue is "seems" to be "executing" but it really
isn't executing anymore !
Following you will find what we have done .
- run the same procedure here in Milan and it works fine;
- modified the procedure GENERATE_REP.COM separating the run of each
report, run this modified procedure into your account ;
- it didn't work fine;
- during the execution of the third report it stop without any error
messages;
- checked , into the privilege account the account-parameters of
ISSR_ADMIN;
- compared the account-parameters of ISSR_ADMIN with those ones
of the ISSR_ADMIN when it stopped;
- the parameters of the ISSR_ADMIN when stopped were very closed to the
limit.
So, we modified the following parameters with these values:
PRCLM = 20
BIOLM = 150
DIOLM = 100
ASTLM = 800
TQELM = 200
ENQLM = 15000
BYTLM = 70000
WSDEF = 4000
WSQUO = 10000
WSEXTEND = 30000
PGFLQUO = 30000
After changing these parameters, re-run the 'Generation of the
reports'.
The version of Focus is 5.2.3.
Any suggestion will be VERY appreciated.
Regards, Cinzia.

417.1 | set a trap | MILPND::MADDEN | don't know mind | Tue May 21 1991 15:47 | 5 |
| There are notes in this conference regarding error trapping when
running Focus procedures in DCL batch jobs. Incorporate these
techniques in your Focus code and you at least will discover
where the problem occurred and what the DCL status is.
Search this conf. for DCL or MADDEN from before this year.
