We have problem since new version of FOCUS 5.2.3. We use focus in an application. The file.fex generated is saved with this syntax : logicalnamefilename.fex where the logical name is the target directory and the filename the name of the report. Before with the focus 5.2 it was good. We want to know if it is a bug or not ??? Can you help us ?? Thanks

After more investigation we remark that the problem is with search list logicals. Examples : If you define a search list If you log in this search list if you run focus and type ted filename Focus specify sys$disk:filename.fex target directory and then if you want to REedit it you can not .... In focus 5.2 we do not have this problem So it is a new functionality of focus 5.2.3 ?

Say What? FOCUS (and TED) searches for stuff using the following logicals, in the order listed. default directory, foc$dir1, foc$dir2, foc$dir3, foc$dir4, ibi$focus when the foc$dir* logicals are defined, define them using the /job qualifier, e.g. define/job foc$dir1 somedisk:[inadirectory] Good Luck!

Hi .. After new investigations .. RRE$FOCUS ==> search list ( definition of 2 directory ) When you do $ focus VMS set def rre$focus >>>> ted test1 The name of the report become RRE$FOCUSTEST!.FEX This problem is just under focus 5.2-3 and not in 5.2. It is a bug or not ? It is fixing for the next version ? What can we do ?? |
