Currently, we are just getting into using Focus graphs and I have it a few
problems which I am finding difficult to get around. Hopefully someone
somewhere can help me out.
Problem 1 - I am trying to schedule a graph to run automatically. I have set
up a .com file to run the job and save the graph to a file so it
can be printed.
When I run the FOCEXEC manually in Focus there is no problem.
When I run it in batch there is no graph.
The .com file looks perfectly OK.
One difference I did note however is that when I run the routine
in Focus it says "REGIS FILE SAVED" but running it in batch it
says "GRAPH FILE SAVED". Very odd.....
The command to save the graph was "ON GRAPH SAVE FORMAT GRAPH"
I tried format REGIS but it didn't like it....
Problem 2 - The vertical axis starts at 2000. I have tried to override this by
swithing VAUTO off and setting VMIN at 0 and VMAX at 6000 but this
doesn't seem to work. I would like to start the vertical axis at 0.
Problem 3 - We tried to use the DOWK subroutine to display day of the week but
when the command line "ACROSS DAY_OF_WEEK" in the graph FOCEXEC
was executed it sorted the days of the week as expected. Is there
any way to override this by sorting by date and displaying the day
of the week on the graph.
Hope someone can help...
Thanx
Stuart.

Try the graphic in MRE.
MRE provides utilities able to produce a focus code that produce a
decgraph code that produce a graph.
Trying to be just a little simpler: using MRE you can run a
standard focus request; this (if possible) is modified in order to
output a DECgraph understandable code. As a consequence with
MRE you can : Build a standard report request (using also a menu-guided
interface) decide to run it (either to obtain a graph or a textual
report), if you decide to run it in graph mode the results are
generated and imported in DECgraph were you can (if you want to) modify
the graph (e.g. change the palette pattern or decide to modify the
axis). All these job are complitely ALL-IN-1 integrated and very
complex scheduling function (without using command files) are
available. MRE is an end-User oriented (easy to use) product for
Management Reporting. (see also conference CURRNT::MRE_INTEREST)
Best Regards, Maurizio
