Within the next few weeks I will be migrating our cluster to VMS V5.3. I am not upgrading the cluster, I am starting from scratch; building a new system disk. FOCUS V5.2.1 - Are these products compatible with Vms v5.3 ? - Will they need to be reinstalled on the new system disk? or will their directories just need to be backed up & restored to the new location? I'd appreciate any information/assistance you can provide. Thanks, Hugh

Hugh, I am running v5.2.2 on VMS 5.3 and don't think there are any limitations of running 5.2.1 on 5.3. You should be able to just restore the directories onto the new disk and add the FOCUS startup file to the system startup procedure. This may be a good opportunity to upgrade to 5.2.2. See note 297.1 for obtaining the kit. KC |
