I have a IBI FOCUS license for a MicroVAX LAVC which I received from
IBI. We now want to load the license on an 8000 class cluster. Will
I have a problem and do I need another license, or am I okay with the
one license?
When talking to IBI in the past, they have not been knowledgeable in
this area (from the questions they ask).

The corporate license would cover the basic FOCUS system, but not the options. If you're using the options, then I'd suggest taking a look at your original contract. If it turns out that you do need a new license for options, don't be too hasty, if you can help it. There will soon be some changes in this company regarding FOCUS distribution and support. The question of options has yet to be resolved, however, it is likely that they will also be available from a central source within DEC. | |||||
