161.0. "MRE Info?" by NRPUR::CUSACK () Wed Dec 07 1988 10:16

    I have been reading some notes regarding the MRE that is a reporting
    environment that runs under allin1, and can utilize tools like Focus
    to create reports for end users. I was wondering if there was anyone
    in the New England area that is using MRE and might be willing to
    answer some questions about it for me. I am investigating user
    interfaces and end user data access for an information center we
    are working on. Please let me know if I could talk to you about
    MRE. I'm very interested in learning more about it.

    Regards,

    I'd suggest you take a look at the MRE_INTEREST notes file on nodes
    {FOOT,INCH,YARD}. Access may be slow since the node is in Basingstoke,
    Old England.

    Or you could try contacting Richard "Skip" Skorupski in Salem, New
    Hampshire, or SALEM::SKORUPSKI
    Alternatively, Eric Lindquist (SALEM::Lindquist) at the same site
    - they're using the newest version (1.2)

    In the simplest terms, it's an interface between ALLIN1 and FOCUS,
    2020, and Datatrieve. It allows running of reports on the ALLIN1
    node, or on remote nodes, and, (on the local node) in Batch, immediate,
    or sample modes.

    MRE contains very little data - it interfaces to Reporting
    applications, or "warehouse" (datastore) applications.

    MRE is developed and supported out of Basingstoke, England.
    Mail me, and I'll send out the design spec for it.
