    FUSEBOX, the Boston Focus User Group will be having an all day
    conference on October 21, 1988 at the Burlington Marriott (exit
    33 off Rt. 128;  Phone: 617-229-6565). 
    
    
    The agenda is:
    
    8:30 - 9:00  Registration
    
    9:00 - 9:15  Welcome and Business Meeting
    
    9:15 - 10:30 Keynote address by Naomi Karten, a frequent speaker
                 and published writer on Information Centers and 4GLs.
                 She will be contrasting the productivity gains of 4GLs
                 with the increased number of other problems that may be
                 experienced. 
                 
    9:30 - 2:30  IBI help desk.  Bring in your documented problems.
    
    10:30 -10:45 Break
    
    10:45 -12:00 Scott Shuster, Bank of New England
                 Scott will demonstrate techniques to create an audit
                 trail in order to maintain data integrity. His
                 demonstration will include actual coding examples,
                 handouts, and will show how the audit trail can be
                 customized in order to create user-friendly reports.
    
    12:00 -1:00  Lunch
    
     1:00 -2:30  Ric Goldenburg, Dow Jones & Company
                 Detailed discussion of Dialogue Manager, especially
                 in developing a flexible menu system.  Coding examples,
                 handouts, and techniques utilizing the LET command.
    
     2:30 - 3:00 Break
    
     3:00 - 4:30 John Mulvaney, Pinnacle Decision Systems
                 Database administration issues.  Discussion of skills
                 and techniques for controling Focus databases by under-
                 standing the internals of the databases and how these
                 relate to the databse size, its integrity and the 
                 resulting flexibility.
