Are there any FOCUS applications within Digital that could be used
as a reference for a customer?
I have just had a request for reference site info from one of our
major customers in the UK.

In IBI's FOCUS newsletter for MAY, I found the following :-
" A recently published issue of FOCUS NEWS (USA) detailed an
application in use with Digital Equip Co. Tracking order details
across the USA this system is accessed by sales groups. Currently
900 people have been trained to access some 1,000,000 blocks of
data in FOCUS files. Ultimately RMS and Rdb files will be used
within the system."
I have no idea who the developers/contacts are in the U.S.
In the UK there are also several projects which use FOCUS, but most
of them have not yet gone 'Live'.
Please contact me for possible UK applications.

The application mentioned is none other than the Area Information
Center (AIC), described briefly (with contact names) in 69.1!

Although we don't like to advertise it (too much work to do) - the AIC
has been used as a reference on several occassions - most notable
Bell-Atlantic, Inman Steel, and Poloraid. MDS out of Westford has
also been used in demos - most notably at DECWORLD.
