Question on FOCUS under MVS vs. FOCUS under VMS: IS there a comparison of functionality between the IBM version and the VAX version? ARE there any limitations within FOCUS on VAX, that is, things you can do on IBM that you cannot do on VAX? Thanks in advance for your responses. Nik

I've worked with FOCUS on IBM for 7 years and FOCUS on the VAX for 4 months (new DEC employee in September). From everything I've seen, there is no functionality difference/restrictions between the two versions. IBI will tell you "FOCUS IS FOCUS IS FOCUS". I understand 5.0 for VAX is due out soon and will be better able to judge when I run my existing programs against it. The only thing I haven't been able to do yet is make a pie chart but that is supposed to be a feature of 5.0. Hope this helps. Wayne |
