Has anyone tried using GRAPH commands against your FOCUS databases yet? I was playing around with it this afternoon but with no luck. What I know about graphing with FOCUS on IBM (sorry...but I just had to say it) doesn't apply on VMS. Could use some thoughts on what anyone has done, specifically in the area of generating PIE charts. Thanks, Wayne

As far as I am aware, it is not possible to produce PIE charts using FOCUS 1.3.1A or lower, as the graphs are drawn using characters and it isn't too easy to draw a pie with dots and dashes. Do not dispare, We here in E.U.E. (Reading UK) have been producing graphs from focus using DECgraph. We do this by producing a DECgraph input file from a FOCUS Table request and the invoking DECgraph from the FOCUS routine. Even better news. I have a beta test version of FOCUS 5!! and it supports Regis graphics and draws very nice pie charts. The release date for this version is not definate yet but it shouldn't be too long. Adam |
