I am working on an opportunity that could involve 10,000 Mailworks
for Windows licenses being sold for a nation-wide network. We have
been trying to track down the Product Manager, Ron Slayton, for
guidance on the following issues, and after many unreturned phone
calls and E-mails, we've learned he's been TFSO'd.
Sigh.
This deal is dependant on being able to use TCP/IP for the transport.
The customer REALLY LIKES Mailworks and the Message Router backbone,
but like most customers today, they want to be able to support non-
DECnet users. Darn. What is at stake, then, is not just the client
business, but the server business as well.
Who in product management/engineering can help us? Can we do this?
We need an answer ASAP, and we need to be completely straight with
the customer.

| I'd send your base note to MEMIT::ROBERSON_D. I have a copy of the
latest Engineering Org Chart, but its not clear where Mailworks would fall.
I can send that to you if you don't have it. If Dennis can't help, we're all
doomed...

| Also, you might want to get in touch with JF Sullivan in San Francisco
at DTN 543-4404 or Laura Sutton in Irvine at DTN 535-4418. Both JF and
Laura work in Rick Nagengast's U.S. Field Marketing program and are our
two or our direct tie-ins back to corporate engineering. Also,. they
are both very familiar with our X.400 Mail/Teamlinks products/plans.

| You might want to get in touch with Kelly O'Rourke at ZKO, she is part
of the Electronic Messaging Marketing group and is quite knowledgable
when it comes to Mailworks and X.400, etc. She would also probably
