    I've recently heard that the National Rifle Association of America
    were building a new application (via a contractor) system to run 
    newly purchased IBM 3090. The S/W house apparently massively screwed up
    (or specs for S/W were totally wrong) and they had to write off the
    entire effort. The 3090 is being sold, but the S/W investment is
    considered totally sunk.
    
    I do not know how they are approaching a replacement.
    
    Can someone direct this to the A.G.M. for Washington D.C. Industry
