This is another update on the DECdirect ordering of services. Excerpt from Debbie Slokek's memo RE: Feedback from US Sales. "Here is an update on Services ordering through DECdirect." "We are currently piloting a process to accept orders for FM- (uplifts and extensions) and QT- part numbers through DECdirect. Anyone wishing to participate in this pilot should contact me to work out the details to enable us to effectively manage this exception. This covers the bulk of the services requests that customers and OMS were interested in placing through the Channel however, additional services, such as Recover-all, can be worked on an individual basis." "Once the pilot is complete, it is expected that orders for this business will become Standard for the telephone ordering channel." "Feel free to contact me for additional details."
