Hi,
a customer wants to downsize from Siemens to OSF, but he would like
to keep his Terminals. The Terminaltypes in use are
- 97801/402 with SA97 interface
- 97801/408 with ASP interface.
does someone know about possibilities to attach them to DEC OSF/1.
There should be a solution for the interface from TAKLAN, but this
is a pure hardware solution, so the question about terminfo/termcap
is still open.
Are there any other 3 Party products which could manage the task
(Conware, etc).

CS Computer in Munich developed a little HW converter for SS97 to
V.24. with that an a terminfo entry from the Siemens machine it
should work ok.
They don't have a converter for ASP yet, and don't have plans to
develop it in near future.
They have, as does Conware emulation Programs for both on a PC.

another solution should be taklan boxes provided by Siemens, but
another one is verifying this.
