    Hello,
    
    Is FTSIE officially supported on VMS V5.5-2 or VMS 6.0 ???
    
    I know about 2 working but "not supported" ways :
    
    - VOTS 2.0B and FTSIE V1.4
      VOTS 2.0B is not supported under VMS V5.5  
    
    - DNVEXT and an adapted FTSIE V1.4 for DECNET/OSI
    
      The DECnet-VAX Extension support will be till January 94 !!!
      (That was the last statement I heard from Bjorn TUFT...)
    
    
    So what should I recommend to my customer ???

169.1OpenVMS V5.5 is officially supported by the the new FTSIE V2.0ECCGY4::EISENHUTMichael Eisenhut, Local Product Management MunichTue Oct 12 1993 10:1910
V1.4 does not officially support V5.5 of OpenVMS although a temporary fix would
make it possible to work with this version.

However we have the new version 2.0 now, named DEC FTSIE for OpenVMS. This version
supports the new OpenVMS version because it is based on DECnet/OSI which includes
the VOTS part. I place the SPD in the next topic.
