Hello,
I am going back deep into time...
Remember R20 ??
Well, we have a customer here in India who has a R20 and is interested
in connecting it to the VAX.
How is this done ? Any info on the R20 shall also be helpful.
Thanks and hoping for a reply soon,
Madhu

Hi,
the SICOMP R20 is a small version of the R30, so one way to connect to
the R20 is via the 3964R protocol. Please check with your customer, if
they have an I/O controller running this protocol.
On the VAX there are several ways to run 3964R. There is a PASS
Solution and a Solution with Basestar.
The 3964R protocoll can be used for messaging. For filetransfer there
should be a special Kermit Version for the SICOMP R20 at Siemens.
I hopr this will help !
Regards, Ralf
