Hi, My name is Michele Cadoli and I work in EIS/SWAS Rome. I'm trying to establish a communication channel (via ethernet) between a VAX/VMS and a SIEMENS computer with BS2000. This is a standard way of communication, as stated in the FTSIE SPD, and I understand what must be buyed in VMS and in SIEMENS environment. Now I need a 9750 terminal emulator via ethernet, and I understand that the Integrata product works with a link between the terminal and a SIEMENS control unit. Is this correct ? There is a way to have a terminal emulation with something like a set host via ethernet ?? Thank you for you help. Ciao, Michele.

Michele, I am afraid the only emulation you will find to go via Ethernet is the one from Integrata. The Conware product has a propriotary box inbetween. Why don't you call them directly Regards Elisabeth | |||||

Hi Michele, your problem can be solved by a product from CONWARE called EMF97-VAX/LAN 9632 TCP or EMF97-VAX/LAN 9632 ISO, depending on the LAN that is installed at your customer. There are some options available for these products like EM9003, a printer emulation or IPC, a task-to-task communication option. The contact for Digital at Conware is Mrs. Pfannendrfer. She will send you a detailed information (I hope you can get english documents. If not feel free to call me. DTN 896-2828). The phone from Conware : x721-409070. ciao Ralf |
