	I am currently evaluating the possibility of connecting a SIEMENS
	Boiler Management system to a VAX.

	The interface on the Siemens side (I understand is RS485). I have not
	come across this before. however I am told that it is a superset of
	RS422.

	Is this information correct?

	If so is there an interface available to connect to this bus.

	Any other information about RS485 would be welcome as would information
	about whether this has been done before anywhere
