73.0. "FTSIE for Ultrix? - Would you want it?" by ECCGY4::STROHMAIER () Wed Aug 29 1990 11:41

    The German Porductmanagment of FTSIE is in the process to make a
    FTSIE/Ultrix happen.

    For this we need market potential nubmers. How interesting would be a
    DECnet Phase V - FTSIE combination be for your market? How important
    and what kind of potential? I'd need something more then "very
    important" to set it up in a way that all Europe could participate.

    Regards
    Elisabeth

73.1FTSIE/Ultrix very important for Public market.KETJE::PACCOFri Aug 31 1990 10:446
    FTSIE/Ultrix will be as important or even more important in Belgium
    than the FTSIE/VAX. The public sector owns a lot of BS2000 systems and
    Ultrix becomes often "required" software there.

    FTSIE/ULTRIX will be very important !
    We NEED it in near FUTURE!
    I have a lot of asking from customer !
    ULTRIX is often the "ONLY" real solution/system for Customer
    Who is planning new system!
    ULTRIX is very common system in Finland !

    Eki

    Ps. Is there any ULTRIX link from DEC to Teleperm M ?

73.3How about a European FTSIE/Ultrix?ECCGY4::STROHMAIERTue Sep 04 1990 15:4616

    Could the "non-Germans" who are interested in FTSIE/Ultrix please
    escalate this need via their network-marketeers to Michael Rautenberg
    @UNT?

    Maybe this time we could make it to an European product (with English
    documentation and Order admin) from the very beginning and save us a
    lot of greef.

    As said in note 73.0 - we are in the midddle of negotiations with
    Siemens, and not-knowing about European needs can cause contracts which
    will hurt us afterwards.

    Regards
    Elisabeth

	Digital - it guarantees our cooperation for the next
	five years and enables us to go ahead with the Ultrix

73.5When available ???ATZ02::GOOFYdata+voice+image=networkTue Mar 26 1991 12:237
    Glad to hear that legal issues are settled.

    Can anyone give us rough estimation of the schedule for the
    developpment of that product.
    There are projects running which requrire long term planning, having an
    idea about availability dates would significantly facilitate that
    process.
