Hi.  I couldn't find another note that mentions this, but does ZAP work on 
VAX/VMS AXP?  We have a customer upgrading from a 11/780 and uVAX 3600 to 2
AXP systems.  They are currently running SPIRIT (an old Asset?).  I
can't get it to compile with the cross compiler.  If any of you have converted
SPIRIT to AXP, please let me know.  Otherwise, I will try to sell them ZAP.

Hi,

	I don't know about SPIRIT, but that was supported via the Toolshed
(which I'm not sure if it even exists any more).  A new version of ZAP (V5.3)
was recently submitted to Assets that does support AXP VMS.

	Like most of these types of tools, the program needed to actually be
re-written for AXP and the compiled on both AXP and VAX systems.  ZAP uses
several system data structures that don't quite work the same on AXP as on
VAX.

	I would hope that ZAP will be released from Assets soon.

	What is the situation of V 5.3 at the moment. Is the

Hi,

	DEC ZAP for VMS V5.3 (which supports both VAX and AXP) has been
available from US Assets for quite some time now.  You will need to check with
the appropriate Assets group for your area to see if it is available there.
