150.1 | 2 for the price of 1 | POLAR::HUTCH | Mike Hutchings, Kanata ITU KSG | Thu May 05 1994 12:05 | 8 |
| I just requested ZAP thru ASSETS_US. You may interested to know that I
received BOTH version 5.2 and 5.3. Somehow I don't think this is how it
is supposed to work.
Also I received the zap 5.3 source saveset. I recall the general release
of these sources was not normally intentional. Has this been changed?

| Hi,
No, the policy has not changed. It must be a mistake. I forwarded
your note to the Assets group.
Thanks,

| Thank you for catching this one.
My error, I have several versions of ZAP that I am keeping track of and
had not yet copied the new version to its correct subdirectory.
Thanks again and please delete your sources and 5.2
Best Regards,
Dick Rohnert

A problem has been detected with ZAP kits built before today (5-Aug-94).
The problem is that kits prior to V5.3-1 contain a bug that can allow you to
configure ZAP to kill system processes. In addition, some people seem to have
received the V5.3-1 test kit which was used to correct the problem.
Please upgrade to a kit dated 5-Aug-94 (or greater when released). New
kits can be obtained from ZAPDEV::DISK$KITS:[ZAP] (for internal use only) or
via Assets.
