I have never seen HITMAN, but I would assume that it uses the same
process as ZAP V4.2 to kill jobs. A $DELPRC is issued to the process
being terminated. If problems occur using HITMAN, then the same
would probably be true with ZAP.
Does the RS/1 or Focus application have a procedure that can be used
to stop the user? If so, then ZAP has the capability to execute
user written procedures to shut down the process correctly.
ZAP V5.0 will contain the EXIT service which will issue a $FORCEX call
to the process. If the program has a termination routine, it will cause
the normal exit of the program. [The user process would later be
killed via $DELPRC]
ZAP V5.0 has been submitted to ASSETS and should be available by the
end of March.
