| If ZAP was having a problem reading the ZAP.DAT file, you would find error
messages contained in the beginning of the ZAP.LOG file at the point where
the exception file is read.
The latest released version of ZAP is V4.2. It contains a fix for V4.1
as follows:
UIC parsing in the ZAP exception file, ZAP.DAT, has been corrected
to allow all valid UICs. Previous to this release, the maximum
UIC group was 17776. It is now at the proper value, 37776.
In addition, if the kit you are using was installed prior to V5.2, then
V4.2 MUST be re-installed to correct a problem with a change in the terminal
name field, which as been increased from 7 to 8 characters. This problem will
result in terminals (especially lat terminals) which have exceptionally high
unit numbers to cause ZAP to have errors.
