1. Bug fixes or problems resolved by this release
a. The terminal name field was increased from 7 to 8
characters to support VMS V5.2.
b. All file access was converted to read only with
sharing to allow concurrent access to the data files.

3. Changes from last release
a. /image switch now used to indicate action to be taken
when stopping a process.
b. /ignore_suspended switch now used to indicate how to
deal with suspended processes.
c. The PAUSE command was added to the allowable ZAP$RUN_STATUS
values to allow ZAP to be held during certain periods.
d. Zap now requires the setprv privilege in order to grant
that privilege to jobs created by the /image switch.
e. The Zap log file (ZAP$DIR:ZAP.DAT) is now written the
same as any batch job. This means that it may be viewed
while Zap is running.
4. Documentation changes and omissions
a. The user guide and installation manual have now been
combined and are supplied in both LN03 and POSTSCRIPT
formats.

1. Bug fixes or problems resolved by this release
a. The TRACEBACK option, when disabled, did not operate
as described. This behavior has been corrected.

a. This version must be re-installed when a system is
upgraded to VMS V5.2.

Release notes for ZAP Version 4.2
1. Bug fixes or problems resolved by this release
a. UIC parsing in the ZAP exception file, ZAP.DAT, has
been corrected to allow all valid UICs. Previous
to this release, the maximum UIC group was 17776. It
is now at the proper value, 37776.
2. Known bugs or restrictions
a. This version must be re-installed when a system is
upgraded to VMS V5.2.
