I have move ZAP v4.1 off of the system device by reassigning ZAP$DIR to my 
new location.  Also, in order to distinguish between log files from different 
systems, I modified zap$dir:zap$startup.com to create a log file called
ZAP_node.LOG.

My question is when (and if) I install an update, will the product know where
ZAP$DIR is and will it put the new files there?

	ZAP always installs onto the system device. You may move it to any other location by redefining ZAP$DIR to the new location, but a new installation will again place it back on the system disk.
