I am currently running ZAP V3.6. I performed an analyze/image on the ZAP.EXE executable and received an error that the executable was not in native mode. Is ZAP written to run in compatability mode? Is V3.8 also written to run in compatability mode?

ZAP is not written in compatability mode. Remember that the ZAP executable is located in ZAP$DIR, not SYS$SYSTEM. This is due to another products, which is part of RSX (compatability mode) is also called ZAP. If, for some reason, ZAP was installed in SYS$SYSTEM, it should be reinstalled in another directory. The new version of ZAP, V3.8, requires the directory SYS$SYSROOT:[ZAP] to prevent any possible confusion with RSX in the future. Keith Maconi | |||||
