If ZAP is not an official product, is there a mechanism in place to sell it to customers as project code? I have a customer who needs the flexibility that ZAP provides in being able to define specifically who gets zapped and under what conditions they get zapped (i.e., depending on which application they are running). In the event that ZAP cannot be sold to a customer, what alternative utilities of a similiar nature would you recommend? Are they public domain or sold by a third party? Regards, Pat

Currently, ZAP is not an official DEC product. However, other organizations have offered it to ourside customers. I do not know the exact procedure that one would follow to do this. If you would like to know more information, send me a mail message and I will forward you the information that I have. Any organization that would like to officially support this utility or even make it into an official product should also contact me directly via VAXmail. However, I will still continue to support the utility internally as best I can. Keith Maconi |
