Well, this past weekend saw the 1997 Bristol HiFi Show and what a good
day out is was too!
Unsurprisingly, Home Cinema was very much the show-piece, with Meridian
showing off their 586 DVD player (demonstrating both DVD video and DVD
24-bit, 96K music). Sony had their new AC-3 decoder on show, and NAD
were just showing how good ProLogic can sound if set up correctly and
decent speakers/amps are used.
Linn were giving music-only dems of an LP12 and AV5140 speakers driver
by the new LK240 mono amps.
NCT speakers were being shown off too. Very impressive considering that
it was vitually impossible to tell where the sound was coming from.
And, I came away happy with my (now) Linn/Meridian system.

| Hello Dave,
is the AC3 system the one thqt gives correct spacial separation of the
sound through all the speakers?? I think Pro-Logic only gives mono on
the rears?
