512.0. "gauge/gage to square milimeters ?" by SAWA::JERZYNSKI (Zygmunt JERZYNSKI) Wed Feb 22 1995 09:51
Can somebody please tell me, how can I calculate a gauge value
into square milimeters ?
I understand that the HIGHER the gauge, the THINNER the wire, right
?
OR, simply give some examples, say 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8 gauge = ?
mm2
thx.
Zygmunt

The larger the gauge number, the thinner the wire,
You might want to ask this (or see if there's some mention) in the related
