| Generally speaking, Auto-reverse and quality of sound are mutually
exclusive phrases at normal prices! ie. a Nakamich Dragon is a good
Auto-reverse cassette deck! In fact it is really the only one worth
considering in terms of good quality sound.
Similarly, Double cassette decks and quality of sound are mutually
exclusive at anything approaching normal prices.
You get what you pay for in this world, if you would think of paying,
say, 250.00 for a cassette deck to get half way decent sound (and,
let's be honest, you CAN get reasonable sound from the humble Audio
Cassette medium, MUCH better than many will believe!), you would need to
think of paying double that to get similar quality from a Double cassette
deck!
The sales blurb for Double cassette decks would have you believe
whatever YOU want to believe, but you cannot make a silk purse out of a
pigs ear, as the saying goes.
If you want Double cassette decks and Auto-reverse, you might as well
go for a Ghetto Blaster.

Yup!
They are OK maybe for a while, then ....
That why Nakamichi went to the extent they did to overcome the
problems of Auto-reverse.
>>> But the Aiwa ADWX828 has got some decent reviews!
I can't speak for individual models, obviously, but how long would
that, or any other particular model continue in use to produce the same
results, I ask myself?
