What recording resolution (word length, sampling frequency) standard do
pro digital studios use? I mean the indoors heavy stuff, not the "live
to DAT" equipment.
If there isn't a standard, what are the typical resolution levels used?
And if they use better-than-CD resolution, how is the word length and
no. of samples compressed into the CD standard without going via
two-track analogue first?
Just curious, or showing my ignorance.....
