What does one do if they notice a crack all the way along the top of the wall that their speakers back up to? Could this be why Linn advise standing them away from the masonry? I know that the crack was only appeared in the last few month's. In fact only since I have enjoyed the Index II's and Clive Meakins' old Musical Fidelity A1 Amp! Any advice on how to position the drivers, any good builders and the best and most tactful way I can ask my semi-detached neighbour if he has a similar crack along his side of the interior wall. And before anyone writes it, NO I don't crank it up too much and YES my hearing is fine! Rob.

Er... is this tongue in ceek or what? Index's are meant to be used away from a wall cos that's how they're supposed to sound best. For all the MF amp's strengths, it won't kick enough ass to crack walls. And if it did, the Index's would probably self-destruct. Stick some Polyfilla on the wall and forget it. Dave | |||||
