Hi, I've got the chance to buy a Pioneer PD-73 for half price (reduced from 800 to 400 pounds). I've had a listen to it and it sounds pretty impressive, but I haven't been able to find any test reports about it. Anyone know anything about the PD-73 ? Would you snap one up if it were price ? Thanks, Dave

re .0.... Why so cheap? End-of-line or something like that? >>Would you snap one up if it were price ? Not until I'd heard what else was available for 400, in my system or one like it. And lack of test reports/reviews isn't an issue, they can be a hindrance. Your ears count most. Dave | |||||

Dave, Telephone Pioneer (don't have their number, but their address is in Greenford Middx) and ask for some literature on the PD-73, if there are any *Good* reviews in existence you can be sure they'll also include a photocopy. The lesser models PD7700/8700/9700 are very well received in the hi-fi comics and i listened to the 8700 together with a Rotel RCD965-BX and was most impressed (I did end up with the Rotel though @299!).
