The new EPOS speakers at about 300 pounds have been v. well reviewed
as a small speaker (ES11 is the model I think)
Just a suggestion

277.2 | Cheap at  the price | CRATE::WATSON | Blood on the Rooftops | Wed May 22 1991 10:07 | 9 |
| What about the Royd small speakers. (No. I can't remember the name)
These are about 100 say 150 with decent stands. These are *very* good
- reminisant of the old Kans and about the same size. I have heard these
being driven by top flight Linn / Naim stuff - though they don't need that
sort of front-end.
Spend the remaining 150 on CD's relax and enjoy.

Gents,
Thanks for the replies. I listened to some Cyrus (Not sure model
170 poundish). Was very impressed. I'll give some more a demo this
weekend before the big spend.

277.5 | TANNOY E11 | ZPOVC::PARRYCHUA | Singapore, Life is bid-$-fine | Sat Jun 01 1991 12:18 | 5 |
| TANNOY E11, produces superior sound image just like a big speaker but
not to put close to wall, a very good bed room speaker. I have no ideal
about the price. Bi-wire is recommended.

277.6 | <What about Mission speakers? | ESSB::GLACEY | | Sun Jun 02 1991 20:29 | 15 |
| I've just moved by 'old-ish' Mordaunt-Short's MS40's into another room,
and had a long listen to some bookshelf speakers.
Like you, I had upto 300 tp spend. I listened to quite a lot, before
being really impressed with a pair of Mission 760's. THey are excellent
speakers, and got very good reviews in last Hi-Fi Choice etc.
THey cost me Ir129, and are linked to a Creek 4040 amp.
Like the previous replies, you still have enough to splash out on some
CD's..
Regards,
Gearid.
