207.0. "Linn/Exposure/Naim in London ?" by SKIWI::EATON (Marketing - the rubber meets the sky) Thu Sep 20 1990 01:47

I'm looking for a shop in London which would stock Linn LK1/LK280/Troika/Ekos
as well as the Naim 72/140/HICAP and Exposure VII/VIII gear.

As I'll be in town for just a weekend, the shop would need to be open on
(preferably all day) Saturday.

Does anyone have current prices ? Also prices for the Linn SPARK and LINGO
power supplies ?

The reason for the 3 is that I haven't made up my mind yet :-)

I'd appreciate the help, thanks,
-Dave.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think The Cornflake Shop (just off Tottenham
Court Road) may do Linn.

If not, their sister shop, The Sound Organisation do. Don't know the address
though!

    The Sound Organisation are in Cathedral Street, Southwark. They aren't
    related to the Cornflake Shop, though; the SO definitely stock the amps
    listed in .0, but I doubt they'll have a Linngo available for dem for a
    few weeks (mine's booked at the York SO for "late October" ;-)),
    although it's been circulated through the trade.

    The Spark is #495 if you trade back the original LK280 transformer.
    Otherwise it costs #595.

    Is there a price for the Linngo yet ?

    Chris Brooks Audio (Warrington) had a sample in a few weeks ago but no
    firm price.

    PS They also stock all the stuff your looking for but Warrington IS 200
    miles from Central London ...
207.6A lot....BAHTAT::SALLITTDave @RKG, 831-3117Thu Sep 20 1990 17:548
    According to the Sound Org in York, the Linngo will be around 500.
    Hamish reckons it's worth it and I'm interested to hear one, but if I
    had 500 burning a hole in my pocket for hifi (which I haven't) I'd be
    inclined to spend it on something other than a power supply for my Linn.

    150-200 would be a different proposition.
