I'm trying to make up my mind between a Mission PCM II (a good clean sound and nice bass) and the new Rotel 855 which I haven't listened to, but has been reviewed well. To add to a Cyrus II/764 system. Can anyone comment on the merits of these two machines ? The recent price reduction on the PCM II is tempting, but also a signal that a new model will be released soon. cheers, Dave.

| 161.1 | Good Rotel Review in SP | AKOV13::MILNE | Mon Jul 23 1990 14:50 | 6 | |
The Rotel just received an excellent review in Stereophile. They said
it was very suitable for even very high end systems. The reviewer, a
musician, said it was so good he and 20 of his fellow orchestra members
were going to get one.

Hi-Fi Choice rates the Rotel a "Best Buy". I just picked up one, and will be reviewing it in the AUDIO notesfile shortly. Brent | |||||
