131.0. "Van Der Houle Cable??" by BURTON::WILTSHIRE () Fri Nov 17 1989 12:08
Hi sound nuts,
I have just recently bust (and therfore shortened) the arm wiring of my
Logic Datum-II arm. So it needs a rewire. Logic have gone bust so after phoning
around I have got someone to rewire it.
Now the interesting part. They will only rewire it with VDH cable. I have heard
great stories about this and so have decided to do it. Its going to cost about
75 quid ( not what I would call cheap ) but when its done I will stick in
another note and tell you all about it.
Does anybody have any more info etc on VDH stuff??
A quick hint :

	II was running (before the unfortunate accident) a Nagaoka
(stilton audio) SB-10. I was getting a bit bored so had a play around. I
extended the overhang to the limit of the arm, about 1/2 inch extra and.....
		It Was BRILLIANT. The sound completely changed, better bass,
better middle, better top, better everything. Now this is probably a very
dangerous thing to do but I really am (will be) enjoying the sound again without
continually dreaming of a Linn Axis or LP12.
Yours noisily
