113.0. "Clean Records?" by SUBURB::COLEJ (sitting on a DEC chair) Fri Aug 18 1989 18:23
How is the best way to clean my records?
Should I just play them as Linn say, or revert back to my old carbon
fibre brush?
Is a cleaned record going to be worth a pound in sonic improvement
if I take my disc to Reading Hi-Fi to be given the Keith Monks
treatment.
Does anyone have a Keith Monks or access too one?

p.s Dave, the K9 has made a difference, bigger than I expected,
as I was looking for a subtle change, and wow, does it sound better
than a linn basic/at95e.
The bass is far tidier, not deeper but more controlled and clear.
The treble is to my ears, not much different, except a shade more
lifelike, with snares ect. sounding crisper, shorter ect.

| Well, there is a bit of a discussion, with minor excursions to examine
the environment, in note 59
Mark.
