From there, Stereophile review of DSP-1 (somewhat compressed
by me);
Digital processor supplies suitable signals for four Amp/speaker
combinations to synthesize reverberation of either a number of
real halls or as specified by user in listening room.
"Rush out and buy" said BS, but use with front channel sound
routed directly rather than via processor.
Dolby MP circuitry only fair
Stereophile Vol.10 No.4, Vol.11 No 3.
The note from which I extracted the above mentions other, cheaper
models. Sorry, I cannot recall the contributor or the note number
suggest you do DIR/TIT=Stereophile to locate.

| The list of Sterophile Recommended Components is in the AUDIO
notesfile, note #1884. These contain very brief synoposis of
the Stereophile review. I have only been subscribing to
Stereophile for about 2 years, but I will be glad to send you
a copy of any article I have if you let me know what you want.
I probably have the Yamaha DSP-1 review at home.
The recent issue of Stereophile raved about a unit from Lexicon.
I can send you a copy of that review, also.
Send me you mailstop.
