I have a malfunctioning audio component and need some external help to put it right. I am looking for references (ideally in the Reading area) to individuals (or companies) who seem knowledgeable and yet are NOT a rip-off. My problem is a decade old reel-to-reel tape unit (Sony TC640) that still gets a lot of use EXCEPT that I seem to have lost erase bias from one channel. THAT'S a problem I can't ignore.... Can anyone help? John

While we're at, I have one faint channel on an Akai 4000 tape deck (reel to reel; all the home recording enthusiasts use 'em!). Anyone fancy fixing it, or know a man who can? Keith | |||||
