Help,
I want to audition a Mission Cyrus One MkII amp (and quite possibly buy it)
but there are no dealers in Reading that sell the lastest range of amps.
If I do buy I will also want to part exchange my Pioneer SA560 amp.
Does anyone know of a dealer nearby that I can go to?
(It's got to be close as I do not have a car)
Steve.

Don't Reading Hifi in Harris Arcade stock Mission?
If not you may have to travel; if you've no car the Smoke's probably
as easy as anywhere else. A choice of 1000s there. If you're really
determined to buy Mission, of course; if not the above dealer should
still be able to help?

Reading Hi-Fi do not stock Mission any more, or so they told me over
the phone today, and they were not very helpful.
B&B Hi-Fi only stock Mission speakers but they were much more helpful
and invited me along to audition alternative amps.
The problem is that I would like to audition the Mission before deciding,
thats how your supposed to buy isn't it? (ie listen to many before choosing)
Steve.

Um, listen before buying, yes, but I don't know about "many", could
be confusing.
What you really need is to find a dealer who stocks Mission *and*
some alternatives, who can demonstrate the Mission and other options,
if not in a system like yours then at least in one where the differences
are obvious, using your own records, CDs or tapes.
I still think a trip to London's your best bet. Put it this way:
If I lived as near London as you and I had your hifi problem, that's
what I'd do. It's a pain I know, but the rewards are worth it.....
