Greetings from across the sea, I have a Garrard GT-50 turntable which I've owned many years, and have no reason to part with. But I do need information on the availability of parts. There seems to be no US outlet any- more for Garrard -- I don't even know if they still exist. The only thing I have seen from Garrard in years is a set of auto speakers! I suspect someone has purchased the right to use the name. Anyways, if anyone has any info on Garrard, or a parts supplier, please post it here. Thanks, Brent

Garrard got sucked in and spat out that many times in the 1970s that they don't exist as such anymore, although I believe that some clone company was making OEM turntables under their name six or seven years ago. The following outfit is probably your best hope, they stock spares and manuals for all sorts of discontinued gear, including - according to their ads - Garrard:- Technical & General, 35 Marlowe Road, LONDON SE20 7XX or phone 01-778-3737, if you feel generous towards Ma Bell. Good hunting, let us know how you get on. Dave |
