919.0. "Wanted new moderator & host for this conference" by HERON::BARKER (Careful with that AXP Eugene) Fri Mar 28 1997 17:14

Now that I am ensconced in Valbonne it seems a bit inappropriate that I
still moderate this conference. In addition on-going system management of the
existing host GOVT02 is moot.

So... Volunteers please for a new home & new moderator(s).

Cheers

Nigel

Look. Surely one of you lot at the CSC has a system to host this. Most of the
noters here are from there anyway. The issue here is that if this machine goes
down e.g. there is a power outage in the computer room at Skippetts House then
if there is a problem with the reboot then there is no-one charged with
actually fixing it now that I am now longer in the country. So it may take some
time for the system to come back on line. If you want to have an uninterrupted
service in which to moan about the physical environment of the CSC plus the
awful parking of some of your co-workers or praise the business talents of your
spouse then I suggest you come up with some ideas.

Cheers

Wel you tell me how to load notes on an Ultrix system and
we'll load it onto nermal!

> Most of the noters here are from there anyway.
That's because they've closed the other offices in Basingstoke.

> If you want to have an uninterrupted service

everything round here is interrupt driven - we can't possibly have that!

>in which to moan about the physical environment of the CSC

It's nice and sunny and there's pretty trees what more could we want.

>plus the awful parking of some of your co-workers or
Hi Steve!

>then I suggest you come up with some ideas.

Who looks after Kernel nowadays :-)
Surely they could fit a little itsy bitsy notes conference on there.
