864.0. "Wanted: various bits of furniture." by KERNEL::COFFEYJ (The Uk CSC Unix Girlie.) Tue Jun 27 1995 15:43

Having settled into a new home I'm settling out a few
remaining bits of furniture I need....

The key here is functionality rather than a nice appearance
so something relatively grim looking that's been sat in a
garage for a while would be fine so long as it's not damp
or falling to bits beyond repair/use.

1) futon/sofabed

cannot be large solid base as it's needed for
an attic room with a twisted narrow staircase
double or single - preference is for a lightweight
	futon

2) cupboard

to fill a gap in the not-fitted-kitchen
for a little more storage and to stand a
microwave on (so the state of the surface is unimportant)
	about 18"x24"xcoupleoffoothigh (exact measurements
	on request)

3) clothes rail

if you have one you'll know what I mean -
like the ones used in clothes shops, an old
scruffy one is fine - it just needs to be
a real one that can hold some weight rather
than one of these lightweight aluminium
ones that bend and snap if you hang a
leather jacket on it (guess what happened
	to the old one :-)

4) write on wipe off board

yes, like the ones in the office but a bit smaller
	maybe about 12"x24"

5) old stirrup and leather

yeah, I know daft one - It's to act as a bell pull
for an old fashioned front door bell so a broken one
is fine... I thought given there's definately some
horsey people around here someone may be able to help.

Sorry, but we're right out of standard issue futons and stirrups. ;^)
