What the hell kind of a word is elaporate then? Is that some
form of scouse?
As for the lioness, where did it escape from? I can't think of
many zoos very close to Bramley, or did it hitch from
Marwell?

| I heard it was seen around Black Dam area.
Other details that police have been instructed to shoot to kill it. :-(
Anyone else know where else it's been spotted?
Jo - wondering how much a good photo of it would fetch from the press....

Have you been out in your all-in-1 - or is it Allin1 ? -
Catsuit recently Jo ? :-}
Has this beastie killed or mauled anything/anyone then to
prompt this shoot-to-kill attitude or is it just generally
the scary factor ?....
interested of Brighton-Hill (near to Black Dam) ..../

| It hasn't hurt anyone and has been sighted in rural areas around here
for the last 2 years.....
No idea why they wanna shoot it?
There's one roaming around Devon that's supposed to have been around
for about 15 years but they're not gonna shoot that one.
So if you wanna prowl around in your cat suit... do it in Devon!

| I found a SAD..SAD... radio station this morning called Radio Berkshire
that was covering this story .....
And a Vet from Marwell (?) zoo , says that trying to put the animal to
sleep would take 5-15 mins....by then it could have roamed into nearby villages .
and eaten/attacked a few locals .....
So shooting was the only option.
I would go for the option of not shooting it myself.

| The reason I heard for the 'shoot to kill' is that there is no
zoo that wants it.
There are apparently teams of Police marksman assigned to hunt down
the poor beastie.

discovered that the "fondness for 'Internals' " detailed
on the CV wasn't quite the Vms internals that they had
expected

|
About 2 mins before a policeman on the news said that they had to shoot
to kill the "beast", an 'expert' said that it would be unwise to shoot
the animal because if the marksman only wounded the it, it was much
more likely to go around attacking people and if they darted the lion
it would take only about 3 minutes for it to be drugged during which
time it would become more passive not aggressive.
Anyway, I thought Tony Nash was the Beast of Basingstoke - scouring
the streets late at night for poor unsuspecting victims.

Cheaper than catching it I guess.

if it will maim people in 15 minutes how come the hospital isn't full from
the number of 15 minutes intervals there've been since it was first spotted...
sigh....

| I think I saw thins thing outside Lloyds Bank on Saturday.
From a distance it did look very much like a lion, but as
I bravely moved towards it, I realised it was, in fact, a
man dressed up in a teddy outfit frightening all the children

| This story has gone a bit quiet - I don't know if there is a link, but
there don't appear to have been any further sitings of the "beast"
since Tony Nash has been on holiday !
Maybe he is dry-cleaning his animal-skin jock strap.
